The Bihar legislative assembly elections are held in five-phases in October–November 2015 as the tenure of the current Legislative Assembly of Bihar ends on November 29, 2015.

The First Phase Election was held on on 12th October 2015 for 49 assembly seats. The First phase was held in Samastipur,Begusarai, Teghra, Bhagalpur, Purina, Banka, Khagaria, Munger, Lakhisarai, Shekhpura, Nawada and Jamui. The Voting  percentage was 59%  Women and Men voting percentage was 54%. Large number of upporters of the parties has participate in Voting.
